Man I wish I had joined sooner, this seems like an incredible group of people and things like this SS make it even more so. It really is amazing how people can come together on a forum such as this one and truly bond as more than just internet personalities. We're just getting into the 2009 Holiday season but, Merry Christmas and I look forward to becoming involved in the 2010 edition of the BoB Secret Santa.

Santa dropped off a package on my doorstep this morning and I rushed to open it. I am once again completely blown away by the generosity and thoughtfulness. The first thing I did was read the enclosed letter that was completely entertaining and listed out the contents of the box.

There was a wonderful story about how Santa acquired some super high quality green tea from a tea master in China. I can't tell you how excited I am to get out a gaiwan and brew up a few cups of this stuff. Sounds amazing. He also included a couple floral ball teas which I've always thought were cool but never purchased so I'm excited about those as well. I think I'll brew those up when I have time to sit down with my daughter as I'm sure she'll get a kick out that as well.

He then barely mentions the tobacco tins he included and says he threw in a couple cigars. I was already delighted as hell. Well here's the list of "couple of tins"...

Dunhill Three Year Matured Virginia
Dunhill Light Flake
Samuel Gawith Best Brown Flake
Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake
McClelland Deep Hollow
McClelland Christmas Cheer 2005
GLPease Barbary Coast (From '02!)

I haven't tried any of these except Full Virginia Flake and Barbary Coast (both are on my top ten tobaccos) so I'm really looking forward to diving into them. The are all in the genre that I like the most.

Then there were the cigars... 32 premium hand made beauties. I'm still pretty ignorant on cigars (among many other things) but I recognized a few of the brands that were on my list to try. Just outstanding!

He also included some really nice pipe cleaners and a shank brush. They are the Gloredo packs and I remember someone around here posting about how nice they are. From my initial inspection they seem to be really good quality.

Man do I feel like a spoiled kid on Christmas morning! I have to run some errands now but I have a feeling it's going to be a very enjoyable evening. I can't express my thanks enough. Santa is the man!

I'm sitting down with my first cup of my gifted green tea. It is very good. I'm going to have to play with steep times to find the perfect cup but I'm loving it so far. Although I'm a little stuffed up from a cold I've been fighting so I almost feel guilty drinking it now when my tasters aren't at their best. Thanks again Secret Santa!

Fatboy 6 up at Northern Command has confirmed two sorties planned for tomorrow at 07:52..

Due to 'security' purposes I can not say where the strikes are headed but.. Rumor has it that Bird 1 is loaded with two 8 oz cluster bombs, a 50g bunker buster, and a secret weapon enclosed in velvet.. Bird 2 has two 100g smart bombs, two 50g pressed err I mean pressure sensitive inferno devices, two 2 oz ATG CAS missiles, and another of those velvet enclosed secret weapons...

Beware!

I'm in awe of the generosity shown by Santa, the old guy went way overboard (he must not have looked at his naughty list),,,,
Sitting next to my pipes is a huge box of tobacco heaven. Most of the weedage is on my "to try" list, and I think he must have wiped out his cellar, but Santa knows best,,,who am I to argue.
Peterson Irish oak,,going to be fun tasting this one,,,
C&D bayou morning
C&D pegasus
C&D three friars
C&D virginia gentleman ,,,all four C&Ds on my list,,,
McClelland christmas cheer 2008
C&D exhausted rooster, I can't get enough of this,,,,I really enjoy it.
and a big slug of Bulleit Bourbon to seal the deal, and help mellow the anticipation,,,which blend to try first.
I'm overwhelmed by Santas thoughtfulness in choosing these tobaccos and I'll enjoy every last shred of premium weed.

As always, the BOB members amaze me, and this secret Santa has gone way out of his way to give me that warm fuzzy Christmas feeling. Thank you Santa from the bottom of my heart,,,Peace to you all,,, santa
