Thanks. Trying to spot emerging talent is definitely my favorite pastime, musically, and I rarely go with the flow.

My crowning achievement in that regard dates back to doing live sound in AZ. There was a girl playing around Phoenix who was so young her parents had to be present to make it legal (or maybe just to satisfy the club owner, I was never sure of the legalities) that NO ONE took seriously for quite a while. She was as raw as they come (like Danielle) but I always took the job because the "thing" I was looking for was there.

Her name? Michelle Branch.
