Got this at a shop and have no idea the quality or if I should use oil (what type) or water. My razor needs to be honed so it seemed like a good way to start. What types and processes do yall use with the stroping?

You can use the Swaty dry. It is a very fine hone. I use it on all my straights. I have a few, some in better shape than others. Lou, NY

You can take a quick peek at ebay for the Franz Swaty hones. They go for various prices depending on what shape they are in. They don't don't last long on ebay. I like the Swaty. It does a great job at putting on a nice shaving edge. Lou, NY
