We've been enjoying this as the weather gets warmer and thought I'd post it here.

Place an orange slice and maraschino cherry in the bottom of glass along with spoonful of juice from the cherry jar and a splash of sugar (I leave the sugar out of mine most of the time). Mash it together with a muddler for a bit.

Add sour mix halfway, but for sour mix we take a can of frozen lemonade and use 1/2 the water it says.

Add whiskey to fill glass. Add some ice cubes and stir it around. Drink. Repeat.

I usually drink my whiskey neat or on the rocks, but this has been a nice, refreshing change of pace to cool off with after mowing the yard or working in the garden.
