When is it OK to drop your team like a hot potato? Depends I guess. I was a die hard Raiders fan since I was a little kid. When they left for L.A. I tried to remain loyal, but they had cheated a whole bunch of fans and people were bitter. Then they came back and I thought "All right!". But, they came back with a buttload of bad practices and horrible teams. Finally I said screw em and just started enjoying watching football in general. I have a half dozen favorite teams that I just plain love watching, and I always pick a couple of underdogs to watch and root for just cuz it's fun to see a team that shouldn't make it, make it (like this years Jets). It makes for a happier fan I think it's great that die hard Cowboys fans or Packers fans can count on at least competing and can be loyal, but I don't have that homer team so I just dig on the teams I like to watch. Don't feel guilty, if they are hell bent on being bad, let em be bad in an empty stadium.
