| ...again. 27th time. Oh well, with that much talent (and the money to buy it) it's no wonder. _________________ "...So it shall be for all time. | Yay!!! the team with what 130-140 million more in payroll with a bought and paid for all star in every position squeaked by and won.... Whatever... It was almost sickining to hear them cheering and acting like a bunch of suger drunk sixth graders... So Frikkin What???? You were supposed to win morons! A bit over 1 billion USD spent over the course of 5 years for 1 championship???????? Get the f'k outta here, I'd fire the Manager, the GM, the first base coach, the scouts, and every body else in the decision making process if thats all they could do for that kinda money... They or the very close in payroll Sox should win every year, that they don't is a clear sign of mismanagement! _________________ The Word,The Liturgy, and Charity.

| Yeah don't be bitter. They're all just people playing a game they love. Sure, they get stupid money for it. That doesn't take 1 bit away from the excitement or joy I get watching the games. One thing I am happy about, however, is that I don't live in NY anymore and don't need to try to commute into the office today with the parade crowds coming in. I definitely enjoyed the parade the first time I was there for it (one of the late '90's wins). My office overlooked the canyon on heros from the 15th fl (I think) at 50 Broadway. Good times. But I don't want any part of that rat race anymore. -Andrew |

| PB, That's exactly why I quit watching/paying attention to pro-football from about 1997-2005. Finally I said WTF, just watch it for the fun of it, take it or leave it, just don't get too excited about it. As far as baseball is concerned I don't pay much attention till the Series, then usually pick the underdogs. Basetball, I have no interest. _________________ "...So it shall be for all time. | At least the No Fun League has a Salary Cap system and revenue sharing that works.. It's painfully apparent that Major League Bozo's system of 'Luxury Tax' doesn't wok _________________ The Word,The Liturgy, and Charity.

| I say, hey, it's America. Let them spend what they want and make as much as they can. The country I grew up in allows the market to work (not sure that's the same country I live it anymore, but there's very little I can do about it). Surely, that's easy for a Yankees fan to say, but honestly I've got no problem with any team in any sport spending whatever they want on whatever players can squeeze out of the owners. No, whether I watch that sport or team is another matter. -Andrew |
