PostSubject: Hello from Cincinnati!   Mon Oct 26, 2009 9:39 pm

Hey all,

Just wanted to say hi! I'm 29 and have been smoking pipes for about the last 12 years. My father is an avid pipe smoker and so when I was in high school back up in northern Ohio, he landed a summer job for me with his friend who owns a pipe shop in Akron. I worked there during the summer months and it was there where I "cut my teeth" or shall I say "burned my tongue" on pipes Laughing

Anyhow, several years on and I've been fulfilling my other passion, classic European automobiles. I own a restoration shop here in Cincinnati which specializes in vintage Ferrari, Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz automobiles. Additionally, we've done lots of work on other 'esoteric' marques such as Lotus, Citroen, Bentley, etc....and many of which I've been lucky enough to own myself. So.....old cars and pipes....I'm in heaven every day! Oh, and of course, pipe smoking is always welcome at my workshop, so if you're ever in the Cincinnati area, please drop me a line and swing by to say hi, see some cool cars and enjoy a bowl!

Cheers,
Aaron Greenberg

Thanks all, for the warm welcome! Glad to be here!

Kilted1; The XKE is a lovely car.....until you need to do a clutch in one! Rolling Eyes We work on several of them, and just finished a complete brake rebuild on a V12 Series III roadster.

You'd be surprised, a 2+2 XKE can be had around $20K if you look hard enough. Problem is, it's the "unloved" E-Type, but still a fun car all the same.

Welcome to the board, Aaron! Spent five months down in the Garfield House once on business - downtown Cinci has some great old-style bars.
