New to the forum and compared to many old hands, barely broken in with pipe smoking.

I discovered pipes and pipe tobaccos about 5 years ago. My curiosity was piqued because by that time, I'd been smoking roll-your-own cigarettes for a few years and had realized that there is much more enjoyment from tobacco to be had than what's in a pack of premade smokes.

Due to some of the great RYO blends that are out there, I rightfully assumed that there must be some really astounding pipe blends too.

The new RYO taxes that have led to many RYO tobaccos being labeled as pipe blends are cause of concern for me (even though I buy them) and I'm sure, a great many of you here. I'd prefer that the federal government just learn some restraint and I certainly don't want a tax nearing $25 levied on a pound of Esoterica that I indeed plan to smoke in a pipe!

With that said, I'm really looking forward to browsing the forums here and engaging in the topics.

Welcome to BoB cheers

For many years I rolled my own cigarettes using Old Holborn tobacco until it was suddenly no longer available in the States. I then switched to Drum. Thanks to the pipe I no longer smoke cigarettes at all

Welcome Aboard!! I hope that the relabeling of the RYO tobacco as pipe blends doesn't end up punishing us.
