All right. Periodically, a block of briar shows up that is much nicer looking than most. This is due to the size and quality of the plant, and the cutting and curing skill of the harvester. Here is such a one. Showing nice grain everywhere, a nice square cut compared to the outside surface, no pits, nothing. And HUGE.

This is a pipe I've been battling with for literally months. Get a block so nice, and the great fear is to make a bad cut, or find a horrible pit, or any number of things. So this one went slow and steady, and now I'm happy with it. It's big, comfortable, and I think a little classy. Not a clencher. The shot of the pipe in my hand shows the size. It's 7.5" stem to stern, and almost 3" tall.

This thing is drilled bang on, with huge airways. The stem is cut wide open. This should be one well behaved pipe.
