| Author. It's not on the list, so I voted for the Bullmoose. But really, any of those similar shapes. Squat Bulldog, Prince, Zulu. _________________ |

| I voted Bulldog but in actuality it is my second most favorite shape. The Poker/Cherrywood is my favorite but it wasn't a voting option. _________________ Arizona, where the temperature is always warm but the pipe smoking is always cool. | I love the apple shape, primarily because the bowl tends to be thick in the middle, and I have a tendency to smoke hot. I also appreciate the feel of the bowl's subtle curves in the hand |

| For a pretty long time billiard was my favorite shape. I have a nice set of several English billiards that are real smoking machines- simple, well made, great smokers. But for some time now I've been in love with bullmooses. The shape is just wonderful but there is one problem with it- it has to be perfectly carved. I've noticed that there is a lot of variation between the renditions of this shape by different makers and some make my heart rejoice while other leave me indifferent (eg. I really don't like Peterson's 999 shape, which is a pity because they're readily available and have a good value). So it's kinda hard to find one that suits my idea of the shape but when I do I usually fall in love |

| I am and always have been a sucker for a classic lovat. I really have a difficult time walking away from a nice one at the B&M ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO what a ride!” |

| I voted billiard. I have really come to appreciate the smoking qualities of a billiard or some variation of it over the last few years. _________________ |

| The Castello shape 34. Can also be found made as Savinelli Autograph or other makers at times. A quasi oval dublin shape with a plateau top. A most comfortable shape for me to hold and easy shape for a pipemaker to form. Sandblast is my fav. |

There sure are a lot of nice ones out there. _________________ Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it pee on it and walk away. | After further consideration of the question and looking at the pipes I've been purchaseing and reviewing the ones I habitually pick up to smoke I would have to say my hands down favorite is the Author shape. The next choices would be as I posted above. I also reserve the right to change my mind later . _________________ "...So it shall be for all time. | I used to be a freehand nut, but the last year ot two has been all about billiards. I love Dunhills ODA billiards that stand a bit taller but still have perfect lines. I'd also like to cast a vote for Kilted's Canadian grouping, a good sub-genus of the striaght pipe. _________________ "God is a comedian playing to an audience that is too afraid to laugh." — Voltaire
